I'm about to jump....

...onto the yellow door bandwagon.  But first, I need help.

Here is my side door.

My question is this:  Do I paint that little white moulding around the window?  Or do I leave it white?  There is the actual vinyl window moulding that I don't think I can/should paint...but the bigger one around the outer edge...do I paint that yellow?!  I'm confused....and I'd be forever grateful if someone would help me out!

  1. Keep it white! :) I can't find any pictures to prove my point but I think it will end up looking cleaner if you just paint the door, not the trim...esp if you have to keep parts of it unpainted, anyway.

  2. hi stacey! i had heard (& have always done)to paint the white vinyl trim around the door light. to me, it just looks more uniform/sleek & doesn't stick out. to be honest, it just a matter of personal taste, i don't think there is a right or wrong way!
    happy painting :)!

  4. I say leave it and don't paint. I painted at my last house and it wasn't a pretty sight.
